Stayed at the Canyon Suites in the Phoenician propert. Smaller, quieter than the main hotel. Had a lovely suite poolside. All staff were great. Derek, front desk, friendly, remembered my room. Sara and Miguel at the pool always had a smile and helped with food drinks umbrellas. Best was the ice buckets filled with water. Had dinner at J&G at the main hotel. Austin was a great setver. Had a veggie plate made for me. My friends salmon looked great. Complimentary fritters amazing. Comfortable rooms.

Hands down one of the best service received from a hotel! Shout out to Derek, he made our 3 night stay over the top, he made us feel lk we were VIP :) Every employee you encounter were friendly and made sure you felt like you matter. Canyon suites has a continental breakfast included, it was not your typical pastries, bagel fruit breakfast, there were hot option with the cold stuff. It was one of the most high end continental breakfast we've seen in the US. Their private pool is quiet and the service is never lacking, we went to the pools located next door, service doesn't compare but still good. They golf cart you if you need to go next door to the main hotel, to the gym, to the golf pro shop and to the trailhead of Cholla. Canyon Suites is nice but the service provided puts it in a 6 star realm.

We ended a road trip with 3 nights at the Canyon Suites. The service was impeccable, the room was spacious and clean, and the view of the golf course was amazing. We took our 10 and 11 year olds over to the main pool for the slides which they loved, but we spent most of our days lounging by the quiet Canyon pool in a cabana. We enjoyed breakfast and the bar at night. Both my husband and I enjoyed the gym as well. It's huge and well kept. We'll definitely be back!

This hotel/resort is THE best I’ve been to in the USA. The staff was welcoming and went over and above to make my birthday extra special. The King Suite is impeccable! Spacious. Modern. Luxurious. All of the amenities included at the resort are top tier! I can not say thank you enough for such a memorable experience.

What an absolutely beautiful place. Tucked away into the side of a mountain with plenty of walking trails, amazing service as well. The Gentleman that was checking me in was very personable talked about the long history of his family with Marriot. Overwall very smooth experience. I will say the complimentary breakfast is a bit mediocre.

This place is fantastic. This staff couldn’t do enough for you. They know what you like what you want and do everything they can to help you out. We want to give a special call out to Devon at the concierge who made sure we had a dream vacation. Buzz. and Ivy had our breakfast needs ready before we even stepped into the restaurant.. They couldn’t do enough for us. Service was over the top outstanding. They treated us like family.|The breakfast simple with fresh salads.meats fruits and juices without being over the top. we had semores at their outdoor almost every night. Whatever we wanted to do they made sure they made it happen. The room was large enough space for three people. The pool was beautiful and never crowded. The grounds were magnificent and the hotel is huge and beautiful. And have so many facilities with things to do all the time. We were sorry to leave and we can’t wait to go back.

Unquestionably the best experience in a luxury hotel in my fifty years of traveling. My son and I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Q Martin and his wife during our stay. His energy, passion for service excellence, and professionalism complements an incredible facility and staff that is second to none. Canyon Suites has no Scottsdale luxury hotel peers in our opinion. Thanks again to Q and his incredible staff for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back!!

Given the previous glowing reviews, and the amount we paid, I was hoping for a little more from our stay at the Canyon Suites. We really enjoyed our trip overall and would possibly even consider staying here again, but there just wasn't much to make it feel 5 star/more than a normal hotel stay. For us, it was the little things that we have experienced in other upscale resorts that seemed to be missing here - e.g., a welcome drink and cool towel on arrival instead of just a bottle of water, little treats at turndown service or around the pool during the day, staff that starts to recognize you by name and makes sure to ask if there's anything you need... ||Some particular highlights:|- The gym and tennis/pickleball facilities were quite nice and we appreciated being just a short walk away.|- It was also really nice being able to walk back from the hotel after finishing our hike up Camelback (Cholla Trail).|- We got pedicures at the spa and want to give a special shout-out to Rachel and Cynthia, who not only did an amazing job, but were lovely to talk to during the service.|- We really enjoyed the provided breakfast and being able to eat outside, and all of the staff here was great.||And some critiques:|- Given we were guests at the hotel and were paying for a service, it was disappointing to hear that we wouldn't be able to use the spa facilities beforehand because we were "just" getting pedicures and not a more expensive service. Many other resorts of this type that we have stayed at allow guests to use the spa at any point during their stay, whether they are getting a service or not, so this seemed particularly stingy.|- Please stop using plastic water bottles/cups in the room and around the pool. Again, we've seen many other hotels find a better way to do this. It was disheartening to leave the pool one afternoon and see all of the plastic left behind.
